Hello friends,
Happy Thanksgiving Day! For those of you who are traveling please have a safe trip to your destination. We are having Thanksgiving Day at my parent's. Lots of Puerto Rican food: pastelas, arroz con gandules, pernil, and of course the big gobble, gobble. ;o) I'm sure the guys will be eating and watching football all day. My mom and I are planning to go out shopping after dinner. I can't wait. I love those sales! So, wish us luck. Later.....

Santa Pencil Box
Hi Everyone,
This is a great gift for those classmates your kids are always talking about. :o) It's very easy to make and so cute. Who doesn't love Santa?
To make a long Top Note, take a piece of Real Red card stock (4" X 12") and fold it in half. Now place the folded side of the cs on top of the die making sure it's 1/2" below the perforated line of the die and cut. For Santa's hair, I punched out several scallop circles. I used the 1/2" punch for buttons, eyes and nose. The belt buckle was punch out with the large oval punch. Santa's hat was a scrap of top note die cut into shape. Now for the inside pocket: Cut a piece of cs 4 1/2" X 3 3/4, score in three sides 1/2", and 1". Cut 3 of the outside tabs of each side leaving the inside tab on each side. Fold and adhere to the long Top Note. Cut 2 additional Top Note (face and for top of coat).
Well, have a great time making it. Contact me with any questions. Thanks. Liz

Tiles
Hi!
I loved making these tiles. It was so much fun to make. I have a lot more to share with you later. Now, these tiles are smooth and glossy. They are not usually used for this technique, but I wanted to play and see what happens. ;0) SU glassy glaze enamel stampin' embossing powder was used for that glassy effect. I hope you like. Let me know what you think about them.
For this one I used the French Flair (retired) stamp set with white craft ink on a black glossy tile. I also used the basic black striped grosgrain ribbon and non-SU hat pins.

For this blue glossy tile I used the Upsy Daisy stamp set and white craft ink. Love it! I like it without the bow.

Now this is a white matte tile. I decided to use Stazon black ink and markers. It took a bit longer but it was worth it. Isn't it sweet? While is was heating the colors smeared a little, but I think it still looks great. The bow is made with Rich Razzleberry polka dot grosgrain ribbon. The stamp set were Love Matters (retired) and Summer by the Sea (retired.

Thanks for stopping by.

Card Holder Tutorial
Hi Everyone,
I finally got myself together and prepared the card holder tutorial that I promised you. It's pretty simple.
Cut a piece of cardstock 6" wide X 9 1/4" long. Score from the 9 1/4" side, 4" and 5".

For the pockets: Cut 2 pieces of cardstock 4 1/2" and 6". Score 1/2" and 1" on three sides. Cut 3 squares (shown as X on photo)on each side.

This is what you should have when you had scored and cut the 4 1/2" X 6" cardstock. Then using your wide oval punch, cut a half wide oval on the center of the side that is not scored. This is your top of your pocket.

Now, adhere the 2 pockets to your 9" X 6" cardstock. Like so. (These pockets were not punched with the wide oval punch, it's optional.)

I used one pocket for the envelopes and the other for the cards. I made the cards 4" X 5".
Embellish as desire.
Now it's your turn. Have fun!
