Waterfall Tutorial

Hi Everyone!

Many of you had asked for a tutorial for the Waterfall card. Here it is: We start out with a piece of 4 X 5.25 whisper white card stock.

Brayer with Basic Black a couple of times making sure only one side is darker. Like so. This is your big rock where the waterfall is coming out from. I sponged with Basic Black and Chocolate Chip Ink forming a cane or an unfinished "f". Also half way down the card, I sponged (where the small waterfall will be spitting out) forming some more rocks.

Now, Using the Lovely as Tree stamp set, stamp with Garden Green a couple of times. When using the oak tree do not ink the trunk. We just need the leaves. Here, we are creating a forest. Also stamp some leaves next to the big rock and just around the smaller rocks. Also dab with Green Galore, Barely Banana and More Mustard around the leaves. This creates some light around the forest.

Using the White Ink pad slide it down to the middle of the card. Make a small one coming out of the small rocks and a bigger one coming out from the top of the big rock. At the bottom using the sponge, dab with White ink to create the splashing effect. Also dab very lightly between the trees to make the sunlight. Now using the White gel pen make some small lines on the water.

Almost finish now. Using sponges and Green Galore, More Mustard, Barely Banana inks, make the pond. Just sponge around the splashes making it look like water. If you need to re-sponge the splashes do so. Use your imagination. Let it dry and make some touch ups if needed. For a full list of supplies and the finished card go here. Enjoy! Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Thanks for stopping by. Liz
